Next show at Huntermark Farm:  June 28-29, MIHJA Summer Benefit Show

 

        Huntermark hosts a horse show every month except November (when there's a clinic). We host the Huntermark Classic Series which includes two USEF "B" Rated shows recognized by IHJA, INHJA, MOHJO, and the Marshall & Sterling League.  From May until October, we have MIHJA shows every other month, and HFEC Fun Shows on the off months. At the MIHJA shows, Grand and Reserve Championship ribbons are awarded at each show for each hunter and jumper division. Aside from MIHJA points, the only thing that carries over from one show to the next is the Karl Killam Memorial  High Point Jumper Rider (which also includes jumper classes held at each of the Rated Shows and Fun Shows), and each riders equitation points (which also includes equitation classes held at each of the Rated Shows and Fun Shows), which are tabulated to decide the winner of the Stephanie VanDeWoestyne Memorial High Pont Equitation Rider trophy and $200 horse show scholarship.

    We also have a Winter Series every year from December-April with an awards banquet in June. The points from every class (except warm-ups, which count towards High Point Rider, but don't have a division award) carry over from show to show and the top six in each division receive series end ribbons at the Awards Banquet in June. There is also a High Point Rider trophy for the rider who accumulates the most points overall and ribbons for the top 10 point-earners. The following traveling trophies are awarded at the banquet each spring: Most Improved Rider, Harriet Lew Memorial Good Sportsmanship Award, Green Horse Challenge Cup, Horsemanship Award, Outstanding Academy Rider, Here's Lookin' At You Kid, and Jr. Barn Princess. In addition to all these "serious" awards, there are a great deal of funny awards too, including an annual Frequent Flyer award! We at Huntermark love to have a good time and the banquet is no exception!
